Mark to me exemplified what we are to be as Christians. He took care of his family and taught them about the love of Jesus and he quietly and humbly served those around him wherever he had or could create an opportunity to do so. When I think of Mark, I think of the scripture from the gospel of John. Mark was a disciple of Jesus.
John13:35. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
I will miss him, but I look forward to seeing him again.

- Mark Anthony Leon, the joy, the strength and the light for many of us here today has left a mark that will forever be cherished. The memory of his laugh, infectious smile and the sparkle in those unforgettable eyes will be sorely missed. We give thanks for the life of a unique, caring, extraordinary and irreplaceable husband, father, son, brother nephew, uncle, son-in-law, brother-in-law, cousin and friend whose beauty, both inside and out will never be forgotten. Last year he ran for a seat on the City Council, District 1, which was a very rewarding experience. Prior to running for a council seat, he served on the Pasadena City Planning Commission 2 terms (was elected chairman for his last year), Transportation Commission, City Charter Reform Task Force (representative), Leadership Pasadena (graduate), Citizens Police Academy (graduate), Latino Heritage, served on the Pasadena Latino Forum as corresponding secretary, Executive Committee Member for the L.A. Business Technology Center, and was a member of the American Institute of Aeronautics.
